The Practical Art of Living Flow:
A Spring Regeneration Retreat

April 16 - 21, 2017

Dive into a regenerative yoga retreat and align yourself with the emergence of spring. Reconnect with the rhythms of nature through the fluid yoga of Prana Vinyasa and the ancient art of kalarippayatu (an Indian martial art). The healing ground of Esalen and the Leonard Pavilion will become a “living flow ashram” in which you can choose your daily rhythm in a transformative cycle to align yourself with the emergence of spring, including the following activities:

Morning tantric-based meditation and yoga with Demetri Velisarius

Daily regenerative Prana Vinyasa Flow sequences for fluid strength, flexibility, unwinding of tensions, and creative flow

Special sessions in the fluid art of Kalarippayatu – an exploration of one of the oldest martial arts in the world, with a teacher from CVN Kalari, of Kerala India. This fluid form has roots in ayurveda and yoga and has been a great influence on Prana Vinyasa’s movement meditations and instinctual yoga

Daily prananadi self-massage techniques as well as some basic Kalari massage with ayurvedic abhyanga (oil massage) for flexibility, longevity, and embodied consciousness

Special sweat lodge (weather permitting) to honor the spring equniox

Evening session of “melting into motion - sahaja yoga trance dance”

As we immerse in the power of Esalen’s healing waters, our living flow rhythm will offer ways to connect with our regenerative fluid nature. Please bring a yoga mat.

Note: Participants are eligible for credit toward Shiva’s Evolutionary Vinyasa Teacher Training Program. Contact leader for details.
