No matter how the door of Yoga is opened to us – the path always unfolds, grows and illuminates our life. Once that door has been opened, there is no need or want to look back.

My Yoga journey possibly began when, as a child, I watched my mum (in amazing bright blue leggings) saluting the sun. I have now been exploring Yoga in it's many forms from physical to philosophical, for over 15 years. Initially, in a very part time way but now as more of a way of life. I will always view myself as life long student first and a teacher second.

I completed my first Yoga teacher training with Yoga Campus (London) in 2011. I then went on to train with Jo Manuel at the Special Yoga Centre (London) in Teaching Yoga to Children and Yoga Therapy for Children with Special Needs as well as with Mollie McClelland Yoga/ Sadhaka Yoga, through her teacher mentor programme and continue to do so through her teacher development workshops.

In 2015 I completed a 300hr training with Shiva Rea and am now a certified
Prana Vinyasa® teacher.

As well as a love for asana, my path towards Yoga also strongly involves philosophy, meditation and self study. I completed an Honours Degree in Religious Studies at Victoria University Wellington in 2003 (studying mostly at Eastern traditions including Yoga) and was initiated in to the Himalayan Yoga Tradition (meditation and philosophy) in 2012. I trained in massage at both the London College of Massage and Mudita Thai Yoga Massage school.

My own asana practice and classes slowly build strong, creative, mindful sequences from the ground up - always with full awareness of breath and honest feeling of the body. I draw inspiration for classes from ancient texts such as the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, the Tao Teh Ching, and the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra sutras. I am interested in conveying the ideas of fluidity, grace, grounding & intelligent alignment of the body along with stillness and reflection. Working in harmony with the seasons and elements - each practice throughout the year will be different.

I love feeling, moving & being in my body and hope to inspire others towards a positive relationship with their body and mind. I am less interested in fitting people into poses and more concerned with helping people love and honour themselves, as they are, right now.
