Kristen created Yoga For Unity in 2009 when she was looking for more on the mat. Kristen signed up for Off the Mat Into the World's (OTM) Global Seva Challenge and raised over $22,000 in 9 months for their humanitarian work in Uganda. Kristen earned the privilege to travel to Uganda with OTM and volunteer on site. She supported Acholi Tribe refugees, PSI/YouthAIDS, Shanti Uganda, Building Tomorrow, and New Hope School Orphanage. Yoga For Unity was the title of her fundraising campaign and still is the spearhead for the arrow of her heartfelt purpose to empower individuals and unite them together as a community that cares about and takes action to create positive world change.

Kristen loves bringing people together for fun and for a greater purpose beyond the walls of the studios. Yogis are caring, loving, and powerful people. Together as a community they can make a positive difference, and Kristen wants to empower individuals and the community to see their significance and greater role in this beautiful world.
