“Whether or not you believe that yoga can transform your life, it will happen. All you have to do is make room in your life for some time on the mat. I think of yoga as a moving meditation, a dance of strength and grace that unexpectedly brings the mind in tune with the heart.” - Suzanna Spring Suzanna has practiced yoga for 12 years. The daughter of a pilot, Suzanna grew up on both coasts, the midwest, and in the south--all fertile ground for a musician and artist. After touring in the US, Europe, and Scandinavia with her first band, she wrote songs for EMI and for Bluewater Music Publishing in Nashville. Studying first with Sue Braswell, John Tomanio, later with Iyengar instructor Jan Campbell, Ashtanga teacher Laura Parker-Hawes, and Rodney Yee, Suzanna was awakened to the sadhana of yoga. After writing a radio single for country recording artist Doug Stone, Suzanna found her master teacher, Shiva Rea, and completed Prana Flow 200-hr. teacher training at Exhale Studio in Venice, CA. Continuing her studies with Shiva, Suzanna also serves as a mentor to other Prana Flow yoga teacher trainees. A yoga instructor in the SF Bay area, Suzanna brings an open heart and a sense of exploration to her classes––the strength and grace of Prana Flow. Students develop a sense of the body as fluid, lyrical, intelligent and ultimately, divine—the essence of Tantra yoga. She continues to write, play, meditate, travel, and be inspired by the marrying of music and asana. A lover of the outdoors and avid SCUBA diver, Suzanna is a believer in the fluid body and our innate ability to heal injuries. Her popular yin and restorative yoga workshops offer deep relaxation, and self-awareness as a doorway to transformation. Suzanna is registered with Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT).
